About Our Clubs

At 14clubs.com all of our clubs are made using materials and technology similar to the top named branded clubs you will know from seeing in the shops and in adverts. However, we are able to provide a very similar golfing experience at just a fraction of the cost.

Why do these clubs cost so much less than branded clubs?

The actual cost of the raw materials of a golf club is just a very small part of the price you pay for a top brand like Callaway, Ping or Nike. Firstly, they all spend a lot of money sponsoring top professionals to play with their clubs. For example, Tiger Woods recently signed a contract for £20 million a year to play with and endorse the Nike brand. The cost of this is passed on to you in the price of their equipment.

Secondly, all brands pay a lot of money to advertise their clubs to you. Every advert that you see in a golf magazine, television commercial or poster is being charged indirectly to you in the cost of the golf club.

Another major cost which is included in the club price is the 'middle man'. If you go to a golf store or your local professional to buy clubs then he will be making a margin for selling them to you.

After all of these costs are taken into account, the actual cost of the club materials and the cost of manufacturing them is likely to be a relatively small part of the total price.

At 14clubs we strip out a lot of these costs by selling directly to you without the sponsorship, middle man and large advertising campaigns which inflate the price of the clubs so much.

What about the quality of the clubs?

Our clubs are made from essentially the same high quality materials and use the same design principles as many of the top brand names you will know from golf advertising. We source our materials from the same small community of manufacturers who produce clubs for the brand name companies - many of our shafts and grips are exactly the same as you would buy on a top of the range set of clubs. We believe that our clubs perform very similarly to the branded clubs they are inspired by, at just a fraction of the cost to you.

At 14clubs.com we pride ourselves in ensuring that you have only the highest quality components in your clubs. In every club we make, we only use the shafts and grips which we consider to be the amongst the finest in the industry.

Will these clubs be right for me?

If you go into your local golf or sports shop to buy a set of new branded clubs you will normally buy them 'off the shelf'. What you see is what you get. At 14clubs, every set of clubs can be made just for you. When you order a set of clubs you can either choose our 'off the shelf' version or use our fitting service to have them made perfectly for you. Whether you are tall or short, male or female, young or old we will get just the right club, shaft and grip for you.

What if I don’t like the clubs?

We have taken the risk out of your purchase decision. If you are not happy with the clubs that you have designed then you can simply send them back to us within 30 days. We will either change them to fit you better or give you your money back - whichever you want. No questions, no quibbling. That way you can choose your clubs here safe in the knowledge that you are not taking any risk.

Are these clubs legal?

We are not pretending that our clubs are the same as the big brands - they are not. We have used designs which are inspired by the popular clubs of today but we do not infringe any patents, trademarks or copyrights of other companies. We will not sell any club heads which have been deemed to infringe on patents or trademarks of other manufacturers.

All our clubs conform to the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and can be used in any competition.

Can you help me choose the right club?

We certainly can. Take some time to browse this site; it contains a lot of information about the clubs which should help you make your decision. There is a guide to the different parts which make up a golf club and what different clubs are for.

In each of the club descriptions we give you an idea of who that particular club would best suit.
